The WPCA held its Annual General Meeting on March 17th 2024. There was a good turnout of locals and due to the inclement weather the meeting was held in the fireshed.
President Michael Wiener officiated and Nick Cowdery read the Acknowledgement of Country. Councillors Miranda Korzy and Karina Page From NB Council and Rory Amon, State Member for Pittwater attended.
Matters covered included the logistics of providing offshore residents charging stations for electric vehicles and/or boats, a call out for a volunteer committee to organise another fundraising ball, Council improvements to roads and the Church Point precinct, loss of tree canopy, damage and repair to fire trails and waste recycling and garbage.
The previous WPCA committee with Michael Wiener as President and Mel Broughton as Secretary was re-elected unanimously.
