Vale Richard Mountstephens

With heavy hearts, we receive the news of the passing of a beloved and longstanding resident of Elvina Bay, Richard Mountstephens. Richard, who was an integral part of our community, has left us with a profound sense of loss.

Up until three years ago, Richard dedicated about 15 years of his life to the role of treasurer within the West Pittwater brigade. His commitment and active involvement made him an esteemed figure within the brigade, where he not only held a position of responsibility but also acted as a guiding mentor and trusted confidant for numerous brigade members. His exceptional qualities truly set him apart.

Beyond his contributions to the brigade, Richard held a prominent position as one of Sydney’s leading dentists. His expertise and care in the field were highly regarded by many. Additionally, he generously volunteered his time at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, exemplifying his commitment to making a positive impact.

Richard’s legacy lives on through his wife, Anne, and their two children, Katrina and Richard. Their shared journey is a testament to the deep bonds of family and love that Richard cherished.

We mourn the loss of Richard Mountstephens and will forever feel his absence within our community. To honour and celebrate his life, a service will be held at the St Johns College Chapel, located at the University of Sydney, 10 Missenden Rd Camperdown on Monday, August 21st at 2pm.
