Santa comes to town

Elvina Bay Xmas Fireshed Dinner.

Santa arrived to the “whoop whoop” of the firetruck siren and the delight of the neighbourhood children who gathered around to receive Santa’s largesse.

Then it was time for the roast turkey, pig on the spit and plenty of delicious choices for the vegetarians in the crowd.

The evening was crowned by the awarding of the Xmas Bake-off prize which went to Sandra Lazarides for her fabulous cake.

First Prize – Sandra’s Apple and Lemon Myrtle Meringue Cake

Second prize went to Mel Broughton and third prize to Kara Walter for her very creative Xmas treats tree. Naming the winners was a tough call as all the entries were amazing.

2nd Prize – Mel’s Berry Meringue Roulade

3rd Prize – Kara’s Tree of Delights

The occasion was also a chance to say farewell to Pamela and Paul Purvis who are departing these shores to take up residence in Fiji. They will be missed.
