Johnson Brothers Marine Services generously donated a nifty little runaround outboard motor for auction to raise funds for the West Pittwater Rural Fire Brigade. The auction was held last month and the winning bidder, RFS member Ashley Rockman, received his brand new Suzuki 2.5hp outboard from Ben Johnson at Johnson Marine in Bayview.
West Pittwater Brigade Captain Andrew Cutler thanked Ben and Ashley for their invaluable support. “Johnson Brothers’ generous donation after the 2019-2020 fires, which we had to delay auctioning due to COVID, and Ashley’s generous bidding is a real boost for the brigade funds”.
“The money will go toward much needed equipment for the fire sheds and the members.”
Johnson Bros donated two engines, one to West Pittwater and one for Scotland Island.
The auction raised $1,120 for the brigade.
