National Parks Ranger, Luke McSweeney posted this photograph of a long-nosed bandicoot that was recently seen at the Morning Bay Youth Hostel with significant loss of hair.
Luke has asked the community to keep an eye out for bandicoots and report any sightings with similar appearance.
Meantime, the bandicoot has been taken to Taronga Wildlife Hospital where it will be cared for and investigations carried out to determine cause of the hair loss.
