Antonia Hoddle acknowledges award

Antonia Hoddle from Lovett Bay posted this acceptance of the award the Coopers Point Volunteers in Lovett Bay received at the Coastal Environment Centre, Narrabeen.

I am very pleased on 3 Dec 2022 I received an award on behalf of all Coopers Point Volunteers Lovett Bay for 30 Years long service – {weedissima superiore}

Mike Kneipp announced the award on behalf of our Mayor Michael Regan at the Coastal Environment Centre Narrabeen Christmas Party on 3 December attended by 140 members of various groups headed by Marita McRae the “God Mother “ who instigates & stimulates volunteers for the Northern Beaches.

Emmie Collins made the event beautiful with a large white marquee by the lake for a sit down Christmas Banquette Dinner with an abundance of delicious food and wine.  Each table setting had a wild flower display with tube stock gifts.  Mike Kneipp paid special homage to my late husband the sculptor Mike Kitching whose vision and effort made this all happen decades ago instigating the heritage listing of the Spotted Gum Forest, Towlers Bay.

My sincere thanks to Michael Kneipp and Emmie Collins who worked tirelessly through out their extraordinary medical challenges with in their own Family and ensured our work continued by supervising and educating our group on the second Saturday of each month.
