A new production

Sophie Lepowic is comparatively new to our shores but has already made her mark on local theatre. Her first foray was directing The Two Catherines which was a great success and she has now taken on a new play, Secret Island.
“There are so many talented creatives in this area and Bogue Anthill had a script ready to go. He was keen to see it come to life and asked me if I would direct his play. Once I’d read it I was in!” said Sophie.
The search for actors began.

“We started to ask for interest to find actors …. well… we asked again ….

Not as easy as we thought but hey, didn’t we already have a great group of actors for the Two Catherines?”

They decided to look no further. Roy, Besti, Larry, Whitey are all in this play with a couple of newcomers, Nettie and Emma to complete the group.

The play is an off-beat, light-hearted look at life on Scotland Island.

Secret Island will be running from 1, 2 March 8, 9 March at 7:30pm Scotland Island Community Hall.
