Lady Whistledowns Society Snippets

Good day gentle reader.

There was something very unusual happening around the local area last month. If I was of an astrological bent I would claim it had something to do with the alignment of Venus rising into Uranus as that appears to be the only reasonable explanation for the plethora of unfortunate events that assailed the community.

The day started off in glorious style when a paraglider crashed into the scrub on Newport Headland. At the same time, two bush walkers were reported in distress off West Head Road. No sooner had this been resolved when a bushwalker had a serious fall down a cliff at Great Mackerel Beach, falling 20m through scrubland. Following this incident a woman was hit by a car in Narrabeen. Finally, Police were called to Palm Beach when a six-year old boy was reported missing from the rock pool – he was fortunately found safe and sound.

Whatever the heavenly reasons for these calamities, let us keep our fingers crossed that the stars don’t align in a similar way anytime soon.

The second-to-last Fireshed Dinner of the season went down a treat. Who doesn’t love Mexican food – unless you were one of the handful of unfortunate souls sitting outside catching a whiff of the after affects of 80 people eating beans…

Adios y gracias por todos los frijoles.
