If you’ve ever done the walk from Church Point into Mona Vale you’ll have had the hair-raising experience of walking on a narrow path less than a metre away from cars speeding around a dangerous bend.
This part of Pittwater Road (not far from the Bayview Scout Hall) is perilous to both drivers and pedestrians. Now, finally, something is going to be done according to Rob Stokes, Member for Pittwater.
$1.2 million will be spent on a new sandstone seawall as well as widening and improving the pathway and road. Completion is slated for later next year.
Good news but a pity they can’t include a bike path in the plans.
