West Pittwater RFS’s departing Training Officer Les Peirce recently handed the baton to Geoff Nimmo.
West Pittwater RFS Captain Andrew Cutler said Les was fantastic in carrying on and extending on the sterling work of previous Training Officers Kylie Stackhouse and Mel Broughton.
Despite the fact that training was heavily disrupted by the COVID pandemic, “Les lifted brigade training to a new level by putting form and structure around our training programs, he will be missed for both the work he did for the brigade and for his warmth and humour” Andrew said.
Once all COVID restrictions are lifted, West Pittwater looks forward to reinvigorating training under Geoff Nimmo and Greg Hurst.
