If you’ve got a portable pump, odds are it hasn’t been started for a good year and needs some TLC.

With summer approaching we felt it was a great opportunity to help the community ’Be Prepared’  and so we are offering to check over your fire pump.

While the Brigade is not offering to do a mechanical service, we will however address the basics such as oil level, the state of the air filter and seals as well as the condition of the pump casing (the volute). Finally, we will start it up and make sure it runs.

It will also be good chance to re-familiarise yourself with the basics.

The brigade is holding the Pump Health Checks at Elvina and Lovett Bay sheds, so RSVP and bring your fire fighting pump to the shed on one of the dates below and we’ll give it the once over.
