AvPals turns 21

Avalon Computer Pals – AvPals – is in its 21st year of helping local seniors improve their computer and technology skills. AvPals recently announced the return of one-to-one training at its rooms in Avalon, starting after the school holidays from April 19. Information can be found at avpals.com or by phoning 8064 3574.

AvPals is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers that since 2000 has helped thousands of seniors, ranging from complete beginners to people who need to improve or update their skills.

As well as individual sessions small class workshops are run at the Newport Community Centre on Tuesday afternoons. One-to-one training takes place at the AvPals rooms in Avalon, under the Maria Regina Catholic Church, 7 Central Road, Avalon.

AvPals is also on the hunt for people who are willing to share their technology knowledge and experience with others. More information is available via the website or by emailing AvPals president Jim Carmichael at president@avpals.com
