Q & A with Sophie and Stephane

BAYSNEWS: This month we’re talking to Sophie. For those who don’t know you, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
SOPHIE: Hey there! We’re Sophie, Stephane and Eliott, (our son) the newest Belgian imports to Elvina Bay. Before making the move to Australia, Stephane worked as a doctor while I, Sophie worked in clinical research. We had always been drawn to the idea of living abroad and experiencing a new culture, and when a work opportunity came up for Stephane, we decided to take the plunge and move here. I actually fell in love with Australia when I was 18 years old and always knew that one day I would return.

After enduring years of rain, grey skies, and waffles in Belgium, we were eager for a change of scenery. And what better place to escape the dreary weather than sunny Australia? We settled on Elvina Bay, which we felt offered the perfect mix of natural beauty, tranquility, and community.
Stephane is still working as a doctor with a passion for helping people, and I am now working as a theatre and film director, actress, and producer. I’ve just directed and starred in a play on Scotland Island at the end of June which was great fun!

We’re all about being on the water, soaking up the sun, and enjoying all the amazing music festivals that this part of the world has to offer.
We’re super excited to be living in Elvina Bay, and we’ve already made so many amazing new friends. We’re ready to take on all the things that Elvina Bay has to offer!
